Would you like to help keep Overton Bark clean, well-mulched, and in good repair? Did you know you can help cover these important costs while paying tribute to a friend, family member, or beloved pet?
Arborist Wes Hopper is creating four benches and a seat out of wood from the 90-year-old oak that fell into the dog park in May 2017. When you sponsor a bench or seat for $1,000, we’ll install a personalized plaque that will remain for the life of the bench. As these are untreated wooden benches, we allow them to decay naturally, which usually takes about 3 years.
If you’d like to sponsor one of these items, you can do so by filling out the form below or giving Overton Park Conservancy a call at 901-214-5450.
Admission to Overton Bark is free, but operating it costs thousands of dollars each year. Cleanup of the tree that fell in May cost around $7,000 on top of those expenses. Your gift helps us cover those costs and keep the dog park welcoming year-round!
