Overton Park is the “crown jewel” of Memphis and its Park System. The Park’s historic Old Forest State Natural Area, Greensward, Rainbow Lake, and surrounding areas are considered to be some of the most beautiful and pastoral settings in the city.
In late 2011, the city of Memphis entered into an agreement with Overton Park Conservancy to manage the Park. OPC is dedicated to enhancing the amenities of the Park and improving the overall customer experience.
The Special Event & Rental Program was created to provide customers the privilege of reserving different areas of the Park for private or public usage for a certain date and time. Revenues earned by this program will support Overton Park Conservancy’s operating budget.
Please consider Overton Park for your special events or private functions. To get started, follow the steps below:
- Review the areas available for rent, and see the fees for each.
- Check to see if your facility is available on the date you need.
- After you have spoken with OPC staff and confirmed the date, fill out a rental application for your private event, public special event, or run/walk/bike event.
Still have questions, or want to tour the park to see the facilities available? Please call Overton Park Conservancy and leave a message at (901) 509-3789. Please note that our Visitor Services Coordinator, Rose Baker, is in the office from Monday to Friday, 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. E-mail communication to firstname.lastname@example.org is preferred when possible.
Your rental fee helps support Overton Park Conservancy’s work to maintain and beautify the park!
