Back in 2011, a dedicated group of community volunteers created a survey to discuss the future of Overton Park. The Speak Up survey received more than 1,600 responses, and the overwhelming love for Overton Park helped to create Overton Park Conservancy later that year. The survey told us that you wanted a well-maintained park, updated playgrounds, an Old Forest protected from development, restrooms, and a dog park. (You can see the results here.) Those answers shaped the first two years of Overton Park Conservancy’s work, from Overton Bark to Rainbow Lake Playground.
In late 2013 on our second anniversary, we distributed the survey again to see how you think we’ve been doing, and what priorities we should set for ourselves going forward. A summary of what you’ve told us is below, with a link to the full survey results beneath. A huge thanks goes to everyone who participated! And remember–you can ALWAYS talk to us.
