Holiday Cheer for Overton Park on Dec. 8
Categories: Events, Overton Bark
If Overton Park is one of your favorite places in the city, there’s no better day than Saturday, December 8 to show your support! There are two events happening that we’d love for you to attend–and so would Argus, because these are his two favorite places to hang out!
Hollywood Feed Festival – Santa Paws Village
Overton Bark
10:00am – 2:00pm
More than just a gathering at Overton Bark, the Hollywood Feed Festival offers great gifts, games and face-painting for the kids, food, and prizes! And at this month’s event, your pets can even get their picture taken with Santa taken by Animal Photography by Peggy Foster.
Participating guests include Mid-South Greyhound Adoption, Hearts of Gold Pit Rescue, Blue Paw Design, Phoenix Cat Rescue, Subaru, Porter-Leath, Street Dog Foundation, Mid-South Greyhound Adoption Option, Pet Vax, Dame I’m Beautiful, and Mid-South Spay & Neuter. For the dogs’ human friends, treats and lunch will be available from Cupcake Cutie, The Dog & Slaw, and Tamale Trolley.
Shop with a Cause at T. Clifton Art Gallery
2571 Broad Avenue, Memphis, TN 38112
10:00am – 4:00pm
Take the dog home for a rest and then head over to the Broad Avenue Arts District, where T. Clifton Art Gallery will generously donate 20% of the day’s sales to Overton Park Conservancy. Not only are you shopping local for the holidays, but your purchase directly benefits the park! T. Clifton Art Gallery offers more than just beautiful art for your walls: you can find handcrafted gifts for anyone on your list at any budget range. Jewelry, glassware, paintings, sculptures, and unique holiday ornaments are just a few of the things you’ll find.
Got something you’ve been waiting to get custom framed? All custom framing orders placed on December 8 count toward Overton Park Conservancy’s total too.
