Overton Park to host November 3rd Rock-n-Romp

Overton Park will play host to Rock-n-Romp, a family-friendly rock concert, from 2 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, November 3.

The event is free, but a $5 donation is strongly suggested. Adults must be accompanied by kids. Refreshments will be served compliments of Central Barbecue, the Trolley Stop and Whole Foods. Artists include the Allied Standard, Kitchens and Bathrooms and the Nobility.

Founded in 2006, Memphis Rock-n-Romp is a concert consisting of local bands and musicians playing cool music (not necessarily “kids’ music”) for cool parents and their kids. It’s all about exposing kids to live music in a kid-friendly way. The shows are during the day, low-volume and fun for the whole family.

“We are excited about adding Overton Park to our calendar and look forward to a lovely day in one of Memphis’ crown jewels,” said Rock n Romp Board Member Jeff Hulett. “With all of its wonderful amenities, Overton Park is sure to be a great venue for Rock n Romp.”
